It’s 5:31 Am and I lay here awake pondering the goodness of God. In my heart I am rejoicing for the deliverance I have received in the last few days. I am looking forward for more to come. My desire is to be set free and set apart for Christ.
Before my deliverance in Jesus there were sleepless nights that I spent in anguish and darkness. I felt worthless, defeated and miserable. My pillow was soaked with tears of sadness. I cried to God to take me home before my time.
The pain was more than I felt I could bear, all because I was trying to serve two masters. Matthew 6:24
King James Version
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
After being confronted by Christ followers in Christian discipline and love I had to make a decision. The Bible says in Joshua 24:15
King James Version ” And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
That day I chose God and life.
My darkness went to light and my mourning into dancing.
Psalm 30:11
King James Version
“Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;”
How I rejoice in being set free and the goodness of God.
I no longer dwell in my self-pity and drown in despair. I am abiding in a God that defeats the demons that torment me.
There is a chorus we use to sing in my church growing up that has special meaning to me. “I’m the lamb that the Sheppard left the flock for. I was out in the cold all alone But indeed when Jesus found me, He placed His arms around me and I’ll never be along anymore.”
If a Sheppard has a hundred sheep and one wanders away, he will leave the ninety nine to fine the one.
I was that lamb. Jesus left the ninety nine and found me. He brought me back to his fold.
Are you that one that is lost? He wants to be your Sheppard. Do you desire to not be lost anymore? Join us in the 24/7 chatroom and let us share with you how you can be set free.
I look forward to joining you on your journey to deliverance. Your sister in Christ!
