Pride says: I am above you; I made myself. God answers:

Entitlement says: You owe me. God answers:

Greed says: More will make me whole. God answers:
The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. — Proverbs 11:25 It is more blessed to give than to receive. — Acts 20:35
Ego says: I define myself without God. God answers:
Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord. — Jeremiah 9:24 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me… — Galatians 2:20
Merit says: I earned my standing. God answers:
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God… so that no one may boast. — Ephesians 2:8‑9 He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His mercy… — Titus 3:5
Fleshly empowerment says: I can achieve this in my own strength. God answers:
Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. — Zechariah 4:6 I am the vine; you are the branches… apart from Me you can do nothing. — John 15:5
One root: Self as source. One blindness: Thinking life can spring from me. One cure: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord” — Jeremiah 9:24. Abide in Him — and watch every false root dry up while the true Vine fills you with life.
Amen Brother! It’s is all about the Lord Jesus Christ and not about us or what we can think we can do because apart from Jesus we can do “NOTHING”
