When I think about the Book of Revelation, I see the entire text in a panoramic view. I know that the marriage is in Rev. 19:5-8, and that the sealing of the marriage is in Rev. 7:4-8. But more importantly, I know that the “gifts of the marriage” are shown in Rev. 13:9.
So, think about the Revelation as having multiple interpretations and multiple ways of arriving at those interpretations. And multiple explanations of how this or that about the Revelation.
But it is all quite simple to me, and hopefully it will be simple for you. And I hope to share my interpretive style with you. There are different levels of understanding. And when I think about Chapters Two and Three, I see the gifts of the marriage. Thus, when I think about Rev. 13:9, I see Chapters Two and Three.
So do not get caught up in the details of what is being said in the Revelation. And this is especially true for the messages to the seven churches in Chapters Two and Three. But we are reading at a higher level of understanding. Beyond the literal and even the metaphorical. At the level of the prophecy that John saw as he constructed the text. Thus, we are joining with the author to see the prophecy.
And I am not trying to make this sound mystical, of which the Savior hates (Rev. 2:1-7). But to encourage you, the reader, to go beyond the traditional methods of reading the revelation, into a new way. Where the revelation crosses all the chapters in reading the prophecy. Reading like a butterfly over the text to see the entire message. Which, by the way, is not that complicated as follows:
- Babylon falls at the hand of the beast (Rev. 18:2)
- The world plunges into the plagues (Rev. 18:8)
- Thus the murdered saints are avenged (Rev. 18:20)
- The marriage of the Savior to his 144,000 servants takes place (Rev. 19:5-8
- The servants receive the gifts of the marriage (Rev. 13:9)
- The 144,000 servants (Rev. 14:1) rescue the saints (Rev. 13:10, Rev. 14:12)
- This is the harvest (Rev. 14:14-16) wherein the saints are protected (Rev. 12:14)
- And they sing the song of the Moses and the Savior (Rev. 15:2)
However, in this blog, we are looking at the “gifts of The Marriage,” in Chapters Two and Three. These gifts are critical to the success of the 144,000 servants as they exercise the power and authority of the Father during the tribulation and judgment years. By the way, when Babylon falls, we are in the tribulation.
And when the 144,000 rescue the saints and destroy the beast, then tribulation is over. Thus, the tribulation is 3.5 years, and then we enter into the judgment where the world continues to be harvested via the 144,000 looking for repentant souls (Ch. 16).
Then, after the tribulation and judgment comes the rapture, wherein the saints who are gathered together are taken off the planet. And many confuse this with the harvest where the saints were gathered in Matt. 24:31 followed by Matt. 24:40. Can you see that Matt. 24:32-39 is an aside to the harvest in Verses 24:31 and 40? This is the harvest in Rev. 14:14-16.
So I hope that I do not offend anyone. But I hope to teach my interpretive style to others. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your great mercies in my life.
Stay with me as I report the various aspects of the revelation to you. Thank you for considering my interpretation of the Book of Revelation.
