Taking the mark of the beast is an unforgivable sin.

I realize this is a difficult and unpleasant subject, so please forgive me, but it must be said.

In the first subordinate aside (vv. 13:11-18), of the mark of the beast storyline (Ch. 12-16), the wicked false prophet (v. 13:11) forces upon the world the mark of the beast economic system.

This new economic system allows for the populations of the world to buy and sell (Rev. 13:17). Which, by the way, is what the older Babylonian economic system had done. But now in this new system, the buying and selling is controlled by the state such that the participants must take a mark upon their hand or forehead symbolising that they worship the beast (Rev. 13:15). Said beast allows them to buy and sell. And anyone not taking the mark of the beast can not participate in the system and must be killed.

The Savior is so offended by this wicked mark of the beast economic system that anyone taking the mark is condemned to hell forever for having sinned an unforgivable sin (Rev. 14:9-11). In fact, as the harvest of saints is conducted, those of the beast are rejected even though they attempt to be included in the Savior’s mercy. They are simply condemned to hell forever (Rev. 16:2-7) for having taken the mark and worshiping the beast.

So what is a person to do when faced with this kind of situation? You must remain loyal to Jesus Christ to whom you love. Remain faithful to the standards of his kingdom that you have been taught (Rev. 12:10-11). Your reward is great in his kingdom with eternal love (Rev. 20:4-6).

That we must love one another with compassion and tenderness. And not “esteem to subjugate others,” as this mark of the beast economic system is designed to do. And if you do not stand with the Savior during this time of trial (Rev. 6:9-11), then you lose the great eternal blessings available to you (Rev. 20:11-15).

Do not take the mark of the beast.

Peace and love. Be comforted that Lord Jesus has given this warning as a blessing beforehand to persuade his saints in the correct course of action when confronted with this situation. That we love one another. That we remain loyal to the standards of his kingdom. That we remain worthy of his grace to be counted in his book of life.

We are to love one another. To be a friend in peace and fellowship. To be in harmony with God. Our eternal Savior. Jesus Christ.

We stand together with our testimonies of eternal love (Rev. 15:2-4). In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Be of good cheer that we have this warning as a blessing. May all saints hear the Savior’s warning.
