The Savior’s Sacrifice

Previously, we looked at The Vision of the Savior in Chapter One. And, The Gifts of the Marriage in Chapters Two and Three, And The Hereafter in Chapter Four. Now we look at The Savior’s Sacrifice in Chapter Five.

And something that I would like to mention is that the angel of Rev. 1:1 is tasked with showing John the revelation. Thus, all interactions with John throughout the Book of Revelation are interactions with the angel of Rev. 1:1, with few exceptions where the Savior interacts with John. And John uses multiple aliases in referencing this angel. Which in Chatper Five not only includes the “strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice” in Rev. 5:2, but also “one of the elders” as stated in Rev. 5:5. And what we find as we proceed furter into the prophecy is that the angel of Rev. 1:1 is not an angel at all, but one of the prophets having the testimony of Jesus Chrsit (Rev. 19:10, Rev. 22:8-9).

And, I would also like to mention from my previous blog. As I explained how I name the chapters, I left out Chapter Five. Because this chapter is not counted among the common, being the supreme chapter of the book.

That Jesus paid with his life, with power and authority to resurrect himself from mortal death. That his children are heirs of not only salvation from sins, but also the resurrection from the dead (Rev. 20:4-6).

And Jesus resurrected himself there by opening the book of life and loosing the seals (Rev. 5:5).

Rev. 5:5, “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”

And we, his children, have eternal life. Blessed be the Savior who has our souls in his hands. Thank You, my Savior and my King, in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
