HOW IT WORKS

When you click Convert to Audio, your browser will display a sharing prompt.
To proceed, you must:
- Select “This Tab” (or “Chrome Tab”).
- Check the box labeled “Share tab audio.”
- Click Share.
If tab audio is not shared, the audio cannot be recorded or downloaded.
This permission is required by modern browsers for privacy and security reasons.

MP3 is not available in this tool because it requires server-side audio processing and we do not have the additional funds to spend on more servers 🙂 so you will have to convert it using a free WEBM to MP3 file converter if you want to convert your audio WEBM file you created using our website.

Troubleshooting
I don’t see the permission popup
- Make sure you are using Chrome or Edge
- Make sure the page is loaded over HTTPS
- Refresh the page and try again
Audio plays but does not download
- Ensure “Share tab audio” was checked when prompted
- Re-generate the audio if needed
Why This Permission Is Required
Modern browsers do not allow silent recording of audio for privacy protection.
The permission prompt ensures users are always aware when audio capture is happening.
