To send an instant private message to a member search and click their nickname on the right side panel and a private message tab will appear. The global tab is public for all members to see what you post.
Use Instant Chat Channels to send Global and Private Instant Chat Messages to other members of the community. Instant private chat messages (PM) auto delete after 14 days, but if you send Messages from a member’s profile they are never deleted unless you or they delete them.
NOTE: Instant chat is not the Audio and Video section of the community.

To send a private text chat message simply click a members nickname and a new tab will appear showing their nickname so you can chat privately with that member.
A Green dot next to any nickname indicates a member is currently Online, and a Red dot indicates a member is Offline. You can click Customize below the Send message button to adjust your settings in Instant Chat. The Search below the list of nicknames allows you to narrow the search of a members nickname or use the scrollbar to scroll down to look for their nickname.
If a member is Offline they will receive a system email notification that notifies them they have a message feed sent to them – (only sends 1 email notification) per day.
Members can Mute any member by moving their mouse over any message and clicking the three vertical dots on the message they received, then click the forward slash / to mute and block a member. You can later unmute them if you wish.
