In Loving Memory

Brother & Evangelist Keith

A faithful servant of Jesus Christ whose life reflected unwavering faith, forgiveness, compassion, and a deep love for God's Word.

Brother Keith loved, studied, understood, and lived the Word of God every day of his life. His life ministered to many people's lives. His legacy will live on forever!
Evangelist Keith

Today I honor the memory of my dear brother and close friend in Christ Jesus our Lord, Brother Keith.

There are people who come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts that time can never erase. Keith was one of those people. Though he battled illnesses and endured physical suffering, he never allowed his pain to overshadow his love for God or his love for others.

What made Keith so special was not merely the trials he faced, but the faith he demonstrated while facing them. Even when he was hurting, he continued to encourage others. Even when he had needs of his own, he often put the needs of others first. He possessed a servant's heart and genuinely cared about people.

One of the most powerful memories I have of Keith is a conversation in which he told me that he had prayed to the Lord and forgiven everyone he felt had rejected him throughout his life. Those words have stayed with me ever since.

Many people carry wounds from rejection, hurt, disappointment, and betrayal. Some carry those wounds for years, allowing bitterness to take root in their hearts. But Keith chose a different path. He brought his pain before God and surrendered it to Him. He chose forgiveness.

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"

Matthew 5:44 (KJV)

Keith understood something that many never learn: forgiveness is not saying the hurt never happened; it is releasing the hurt into God's hands and refusing to allow it to control your heart.

His decision to forgive everyone who had rejected him revealed the depth of his relationship with Jesus Christ. It showed a maturity of faith that can only come from spending time with the Lord and allowing God's love to transform the heart.

Love for God

One of the greatest lessons Keith taught me was how to love God more deeply. I watched him remain faithful through suffering. I watched him trust God through difficult circumstances. I watched him continue to love the Lord when life gave him every reason to become discouraged.

Forgiveness & Love

The second great lesson he taught me was how to forgive and love others regardless of what they may have done. Keith showed me that Christ-like love is not dependent upon how people treat us. It is dependent upon how Christ has treated us.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Romans 8:28 (KJV)

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

Keith lived that verse.

When I think of his life, I do not first think about the illnesses he battled. I think about his faith. I think about his love. I think about his forgiveness. I think about the encouragement he gave so many people, including me.

His life was a testimony that God's grace is greater than pain, greater than rejection, and greater than suffering.

Though my heart is saddened by his passing, I rejoice knowing that Keith is now with the Lord whom he loved so dearly. The struggles of this life have ended, and he now stands in the presence of the One he faithfully served.

Brother Keith, thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your example. Thank you for teaching me what it means to love God through every circumstance and to forgive others from the heart.

Your life made a difference. Your faith left a mark. Your love pointed people to Jesus.

Until we meet again, I will carry the lessons you taught me and the memories we shared.
