BREAKING: Finland’s Supreme …

BREAKING: Finland’s Supreme Court Acquits Parliamentarian on Bible Tweet, Convicts Her for “Insult”

Finland just made a huge mistake towards the evil agenda in our society. Since her post in 2019 until now, we have seen Päivi Räsänen battle going on, and many people, including non-Christians, have found this a step backward for everyone, as the consequences of monitoring people’s opinions and expressions of their own beliefs are now in question as in Finland we have the law about freedom of speech, but we also have the hate of speech law in EU that has no clear boundries.

She was found guilty of “hate speech”, you can find more details on the internet, but still one more resource to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights, so let’s keep this in our prayers because also one pastor was find guilt on this case.

Päivi Räsänen was already serving the parliament and public life for about 30 years when this took place, which shows us how important our vote is, and get our beliefs represented in the law-making house, if we wish to fight for our freedom on the human level, even tho we know nothing should stop us from doing what we have to do, that is to bring the true and the light to this world in the name of Jesus, our savious.

You can see one of her last interviews here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhEI5gZt_pQ

The topic is now dangerously all over the internet. Let’s pray for God’s wisdom and intervention. I totally see this kind of situation in the description of that Pr. Joel’s prophecy was shared here on this very site.

  1. Freedom of Speech, Moral Boundaries, and the Biblical Lens on Truth and Persecution.
Recent events in Finland surrounding politician “Päivi Räsänen” have sparked global discussion about the tension between freedom of speech and laws restricting certain forms of expression labeled as “hate speech.” As reported, her case has moved through the courts and may yet reach the European Court of Human Rights, drawing attention not only within Finland but across the broader European Union.
From a biblical worldview, this situation raises deeper questions than politics alone—it touches on truth, righteousness, and the inevitable conflict between godly conviction and a world system that often resists it.

    1. Truth Is Increasingly Treated as Offensive
The Word of God makes it clear that truth itself will not always be welcomed:
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32 (KJV)
Yet in contrast, Scripture also warns that truth can provoke opposition:
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine…” — 2 Timothy 4:3 (KJV)
When moral truth—especially rooted in Scripture—is labeled as harmful simply because it contradicts prevailing cultural norms, we see a pattern that aligns with biblical warnings about the world resisting righteousness.

    2. The Clash Between Two Kingdoms
The Bible presents a clear division between the kingdom of God and the systems of this world:
“My kingdom is not of this world…” — John 18:36 (KJV)
When laws begin to regulate or penalize speech based on moral or spiritual convictions, believers may interpret this as part of a broader spiritual conflict—not merely legal policy, but a clash of worldviews.
This is not unique to modern times. The early church experienced similar pressures:
“Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.” — Acts 4:19 (KJV)
The apostles chose obedience to God over conformity to human authority when the two were in conflict.

    3. The Biblical Expectation of Persecution
Scripture does not present persecution of believers as unusual—it presents it as expected:
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” — 2 Timothy 3:12 (KJV)
From this perspective, legal or social opposition to biblical convictions is not necessarily surprising. Instead, it may confirm what Scripture has long indicated about how the world responds to truth that confronts sin.

    4. Discernment Without Conspiracy Speculation
While some interpret these developments as evidence of a coordinated “agenda,” Scripture calls believers to discernment rather than speculation:
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…” — 1 John 4:1 (KJV)
A balanced biblical approach avoids exaggeration while still recognizing patterns: increasing hostility toward biblical truth, pressure to conform, and the marginalization of openly Christian moral positions in certain public spheres.

    5. The Role of Believers in Society
The case also highlights the importance of representation and civic responsibility. Scripture affirms the role of righteous leadership:
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice…” — Proverbs 29:2 (KJV)
Engagement in society—through lawful participation, voting, and public witness—remains a practical way believers can express their convictions. However, Scripture also reminds us that ultimate hope is not in political systems, but in God:
“Put not your trust in princes…” — Psalm 146:3 (KJV)

    6. A Call to Prayer and Wisdom
Regardless of legal outcomes, the appropriate biblical response is prayer, wisdom, and steadfastness:
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God…” — James 1:5 (KJV)
Believers are instructed to respond to opposition not with fear, but with truth spoken in love:
“But speaking the truth in love…” — Ephesians 4:15 (KJV)
    Final Reflection
From a biblical standpoint, what is unfolding within Finland serves as a sober warning to any nation that begins to blur the line between the protection of people and the suppression of truth. When civil authority elevates subjective moral standards above open dialogue of deeply held convictions, it risks setting itself against the very principles of justice, liberty, and truth that sustain a righteous society.
Scripture makes clear that nations are not exempt from accountability before God:
“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” — Proverbs 14:34 (KJV)
A rebuke, in the biblical sense, is not rooted in hostility but in truth. Therefore, it must be said plainly: when a society begins to penalize the public expression of biblical conviction under broad or undefined interpretations of “offense,” it moves into dangerous territory—one where truth itself can be constrained by shifting cultural or institutional pressures. Such a trajectory does not strengthen a nation; it weakens its moral foundation.
Furthermore, when frameworks within larger governing bodies such as the European Union contribute to legal ambiguity around speech and belief, the result can be an environment where conscience is placed under increasing pressure. While the intent may be to protect citizens, the unintended consequence may be the suppression of sincere religious expression—something that has historically led to societal imbalance rather than harmony.
The Word of God consistently affirms that truth must not be silenced:
“Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.” — Proverbs 31:9 (KJV)
A nation that restricts righteous speech risks calling evil good and good evil, a condition Scripture warns against:
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil…” — Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)
The biblical rebuke, then, is not merely directed at one country, but serves as a universal reminder: any government or system that places limits on truth in the name of protecting society must examine itself carefully before God. For truth is not the enemy of peace—it is the foundation of it.
Ultimately, the call is not for condemnation without hope, but for repentance, wisdom, and a return to principles that honor truth, justice, and the freedom to speak what is right.
