Korean Beef Bulgogi
This easy-to-make Korean beef bulgogi is a popular dish of thinly sliced, marinated beef that is grilled or pan-seared. The beef bursts with delicious flavors from the marinade, and the grilled onions give the beef the perfect taste in every bite you take! Your family will want you to cook it again and again!

TOTAL TIME: 1 Hour
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound beef (sliced thin into ⅛-inch-thick slices) – You can use tenderloin, top sirloin, top round, or skirt steak.
3 or 4 garlic cloves, minced.
2 green onion, chopped – (about 1/4 cup).
3 tablespoons soy sauce.
2 tablespoons white sugar.
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil.
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds coarsely ground.
½ teaspoon ground black pepper.
1 cup of sliced yellow onion – (about one medium onion).
½ cup of pear juice (tenderizes meat and adds unique flavor) – If you like you can use apple juice instead.
½ teaspoon or less of crushed red peppers – (optional only if you like it a little fiery hot, will add a kick of heat).
STEP 1
Make marinade by combining the garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, ground black pepper, sliced yellow onion, and the pear juice in a large bowl. Mix it well until the sugar is well dissolved.
STEP 2
Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and mix everything by hand until the beef is covered in the marinade.
Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so the meat marinates well. – (don’t skip marinating).
STEP 3
Cook on a lightly oiled hot skillet (stirring while cooking) on stove at Hi-heat 12- to 15 minutes max, or you can also cook on a BBQ grill outdoors.
SERVINGS (2 to 4 people)
Serve hot off the skillet with white rice and your favorite green veggies like steamed Asparagus or Broccoli .
TIP:
Do not over cook your meat or it will toughen the meat. Cook meat to med-well max, make sure you cook the sliced yellow onions in the skillet when cooking your meat.
Cook your white rice and your side of green veggies during the 30 minutes you have to marinade your meat.
